Reflexology

What is reflexology?

Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower legs, hands, face, and ears correspond with different areas of the body. Reflexologists work holistically with their clients and aim to work alongside allopathic healthcare to promote better health for their clients.

What are the benefits?

Similar to massage therapy, reflexology helps to:

    • Reduce aches and pains
    • Awaken nerve pathways
    • Stimulate the lymph system
    • Fight colds and flu symptoms
    • Increase blood oxygenation
    • Relieve feelings of stress
    • Calm overactive minds

What ailments and discomforts can be soothed by reflexology?

  • PMS and menopause symptoms
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Insomnia
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Irregular blood pressure
  • Sinus and ear disorders
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Digestive disorders
  • Respiratory disorders

  • Fibromyalgia

What can I expect to feel during and after my treatment?

Some feet may be ticklish or sensitive. Clients may experience an overall feeling of deep relaxation, calmness, mental clarity or boosted energy levels.

How often should I receive treatments?

Reflexology can be made a regular part of your healthcare regime. Individual treatment plans and protocols are created by our massage therapists for clients. 4 Elements Massage Clinic recommends incorporating this technique into your massage at least once every 4 weeks to maintain a client’s optimal health.
