Swedish Massage
Varying techniques and pressures meet individual treatment goals. Light, soothing, long-flowing strokes create a full body Relaxation experience. Moderate pressure and specific techniques such as trigger point therapy and myofascial release give a Therapeutic experience needed to treat acute and chronic injuries and certain conditions.
Deep Tissue Massage
Scar tissue is broken down by means of slow, deep pressure using thumbs, elbows, palms, and forearms. Chronic patterns of tension are released throughout the body and range of motion is increased.
Pregnancy Massage
Soothing and calming relaxation massage is used to ease the body as it goes through stages of change during pregnancy. Mother and child health is the main focus but specific therapeutic techniques can be applied to each massage to meet individual needs and goals. Leg cramping, muscle tension, hip, back and neck pain, headaches and edema (swelling) are just some of the prenatal concerns that are targeted. Special considerations for each trimester, client comfort and high-risk pregnancies should be discussed with your RMT.
Therapeutic Style Stone Massage
An extremely relaxing full body massage using hot Basalt stones to achieve therapeutic results by warming muscle tissue and relieving stress. The Stone techniques achieve the same results as a deep tissue massage without the added pressure or pain. Healing Migraine Massage
Shiatsu Massage points are applied to specific spots in the shoulders, neck, head, and face to treat a migraine while the client is experiencing one, as well as for preventative care against these nagging types of headaches. Treatment is beneficial for tension and stress-related headaches as well.
Myofascial Cupping
The ancient art of cupping is combined with the knowledge of connective tissue patterns to achieve myofascial release in the body. This release can affect scar tissue build up without excessive pressure. Cupping can decrease pain, increase the range of motion, and enhances muscle function. This style of treatment is excellent for clients with active lifestyles, whiplash, and chronic injuries.
Sports Massage
Perfect to use before or after physical activity, or aid in muscle maintenance between sporting events. With the use of limited or no oil, massage therapists are able to manipulate superficial and deep tissue to break up adhesions in muscle tissue, tendons, ligaments, fascia and around joints. Specified sports massage techniques and stretching remove toxins, speed up recovery time, increase performance, warm tissue and achieve greater flexibility.
Manual Lymph Drainage
Rhythmical circular movements and light stimulating pressure targets the lymphatic system of the body to encourage natural drainage and elimination of lymph fluid (white blood cells and by-products of the circulatory system). Lymphatic Drainage decreases swelling, early signs of cellulite, and healing time after surgery. It also boosts your immune system and is beneficial for pregnancy, PMS and edema.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body. Reflexologists work holistically with their clients and aim to work alongside allopathic healthcare to promote better health for their clients.
